The major radioactive component in the extracts of all three soils was Oxyfluorfen, which decreased from 96-97% AR at Day 0 to 29-34% AR at Day 120. Up to eight minor unknown metabolites were detected, none of which individually exceeded 5% AR. 20-34% AR was incorporated into the humin fraction and humic acids, i.e. into the less mobile organic compounds. The radioactivity associated with the fulvic acids fraction was lower, representing between 5 and 17% AR. Mineralisation to 14CO2 reached a maximum of 18-21% AR on Day 120. Other volatile products were less than 4% AR.
