Dichlorvos
The half-life of dichlorvos in one soil was significantly much less than 1 day. Mineralisation appears to be rapid, 70% of the applied 14C was evolved as 14CO2 in 10 days (65% at day 1). The bound residue is available for microbial degradation, evidenced by the decrease in time of residue in the soil. Two major metabolites are detected: mI (desmethyldichlorvos) and mIII (2,2-dichloroacetaldehyde), maximum amounts were 14.2% and 11.6% after 10-15 min, both with DT50 and DT90 values less than 1 day.
