Under aerobic condition, fenamidone is moderately to rapidly degraded in soil, with a half-life between 1 and 21 days. The first major product RPA 412708 is moderately to slowly degraded with a half-life between 19 to 500 days to the second major product RPA 412636. Slow to no degradation of RPA 412636 was observed with half-lives mostly over 1000 days. The minor compounds RPA 411639 and RPA 413255 were degraded moderately to slowly with a half-life between 50 to 150 days. On the other hand, the metabolite BCS-CV62706 was degraded fast with a half-life shorter than a day. Fenamidone degradation in aerobic soil is underlined by the formation of non-extractable residues and carbon dioxide. Fenamidone is mineralized to a small extent.
