Isofetamid

Description

Under aerobic conditions isofetamid was moderately fast degraded, with a half-life between 20 to 100 days. Mineralization to CO2 is considered moderate as it occurred around 20-30%. The major degradation product for both radiolabelled forms of isofetamid was 4HP, which quickly degraded with a half-life of around 2 days. PPA was also observed in soil extracts, along with 3-MTCAM and 3-MTCA but levels remained low. Therefor PPA, MTCAM and 3-MTCA were only considered as minor metabolites.
