Buprofezin
Buprofezin was degraded in the laboratory under aerobic conditions. Under anaerobic conditions buprofezin quickly partitioned from the aqueous phase into the sediment (DT50 10.9 days), however the rate of degradation in sediment was slow (DT50 >1000 days). Under aerobic conditions in the laboratory the DT50 values for buprofezin ranged between 32 and 322 days. Under aerobic and anaerobic conditions no major metabolites were formed. Small amounts of degradation products was detected at <3% of applied radioactivity. The degradation route was mainly to bound reand carbon dioxide. No significant photolysis of buprofezin occurred in a laboratorsidue y study indicating this to be a very minor degradation route in soil.
