Cyazofamid was rapidly degraded in aerobic soil with a half-life between 3 and 5 days and the hydrolysis product CCIM was identified. Cyazofamid is moderately mineralized to carbon dioxide with around 10-15% after 45 days. Because most of the compounds were detected in low amounts at the end of the experiments both mineralization and bound residues are not expected to significantly increase over longer incubation periods. The major product CCIM was degraded further with a half-life between 1-21 days. The two minor products CCIM-AM and CTCA were formed. While CCIM-AM was degraded moderately with a half-life between 2 and 70 days, the other minor compound, CTCA, degraded quit slowly with a half-life between 140 and 340 days.
