Carbaryl
The route of degradation of 1-naphthyl-14C methylcarbamate was studied in 5 soils. A initial lag phase was identified in them. The dissipation seems to be soil dependent. Naphthol was observed only in a study reaching up to 34% of AR at 2 DAT. The presence of 14CO2 in the volatile traps means that under aerobic conditions 1-naphthyl 14C is lost as CO2. Bound residues varied between 18-60% AR. 6-50% AR was identified as carbaryl at the end of the studies.
