Triasulfuron
Triasulfuron (as CGA131036) degraded to three major metabolites, namely CGA150829, CGA195660 and SYN546702. Maximum levels were 26.7% AR (triazinyl label, 120 DAT), 10.8% AR (phenyl label, 14 DAT) and 12.5% AR (triazinyl label, 120 DAT), respectively. A number of minor metabolites were present at levels of <5% AR. Mineralisation to carbon dioxide was also an end point of metabolism with levels reaching 8.9 to 12.8% by the end of the incubation period. Metabolic transformations of triasulfuron include: - O-demethylation and oxidative demethylation of the triazine ring to CGA195660 followed by ring opening of the triazine ring yielding SYN546702, - Cleavage of the sulphonyl urea bridge yielding CGA150829 and CGA161149. Ultimately triasulfuron and/or its metabolites were assimilated into unextracted residue with a degree of transformation to volatiles.
