Carbosulfan
The active substance (14C phenyl ring) carbosulfan was rapidly degraded to carbofuran under aerobic conditions (sandy clay loam : DT50 < 1 day; silt loam :DT50 ~ 5 days – No precise calculation) . The amount of carbofuran formed increased to 69.3-55-2% AR at maximum after 3-4 days. Minor metabolites were formed during the experiment (3-keto-carbofuran, 3-keto-7-phenol, 7-phenol). Mineralization was low (max level of 1.2-7.3 % AR). The amount of bound residues increased steadily up to approximately 34.4- 44.6% AR at day 28. (Markle, 1981a)
