Description

The aerobic degradation of oryzalin has been determined in four EU soils and one US soil. Degradation of oryzalin is generally low (86.9% AR left after 99 days) but can be higher (13.1% left after 186 days). Maximum levels of non extractable residues after 100 days was observed in a sandy loam soil (56.1% after 91 days), with associated mineralization of 3.7%. Several metabolites OR-2, OR-3, OR-9, OR-13, OR-14, OR-15, OR-20, UN-1 and UN-2 have been detected. None was major.
