Methyl fluoride
Methyl fluoride, or Freon 41, is a gas that has been investigated as an inhibitor of methanotrophy and nitrification in soils ([http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16348771|Oremland & Culbertson, 1992]) More recently, methyl fluoride metabolism has been investigated ([http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8085841|Hyman et al., 1994]).
